SAFEGUARDING CHILDREN
The guidance provided by the UK Government, titled “Working Together”, provides the following definition of safeguarding children, to ensure that everyone is working towards the same goals.
In Working Together, safeguarding means: “Protecting children from maltreatment, preventing impairment of children’s health or development, ensuring that children grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care and taking action to enable all children to have the best outcomes.”
This Safeguarding Children’s course has been designed to ensure that anyone working within the childcare industry understand their responsibilities when it comes to protecting and safeguarding children’s wellbeing.
