The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 requires employers to provide information, supervision, instruction and training for the effective control of dust and chemicals, which could coat floors and create a slip risk.

The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health or COSHH as it is also known is the law that requires employers to control substances that are hazardous to health. Almost every business will use some sort substance or product. Sometimes substances are easily recognised as harmful. Common substances such as paint, bleach or dust from natural materials may also be harmful. Some work processes create substances, and these could cause harm to employees, contractors and even the public.

This Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Safety Training course has been designed to fully comply with The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 and provides information, guidance and explanations throughout the course including, knowing how to identify hazardous substances in the workplace, be able to understand the current laws and regulations relating to COSHH, understand the health effects from hazardous substances, understand the control hierarchies, the importance of health surveillance and know how to write a risk assessment.
