PARENT AND CARER FIRST AID WORKSHOP
This 3-hour First Aid Workshop has been designed around carers, expectant parents, parents, grandparents, and any other family members over the age of 16.
It gives an understanding of First Aid and what to do in an emergency.
Our interactive, confidence-building courses are held locally, and will provide plenty of opportunity to practise techniques and ask questions.
The workshop covers first aid techniques for babies (0-1 years) and children (1-18 years).
THE WORKSHOP COVERS:
How to deal with a casualty who is unresponsive and NOT breathing normally
What to do if a casualty is unresponsive and breathing normally
How to manage seizures
Choking
Minor injuries
Burns or Scalds
Suspected fracture or dislocation
Head, neck or back injury
Allergic reaction/Anaphylactic Shock
Meningitis and Sepsis
GUIDED LEARNING – 3 HOURS
